AITSL has launched Future Teacher Future Leader, a national foresight initiative exploring what's next for teaching and school leadership in Australia. The work looks at how technology, community expectations, workforce trends and policy shifts are reshaping the profession, with a focus on moving from reactive to proactive practice. Throughout 2026, AITSL will engage teachers, system leaders, researchers and young people to build the sector's readiness for the future, sharing findings as the initiative develops.
