ACEL SA: Book Launch Event - Cultivating Cultures of Thinking in Australian Schools: From Control to Curiosity
ACEL South Australia invites educators, leaders and colleagues to join us for the official South Australian launch of Cultivating Cultures of Thinking in Australian Schools: From Control to Curiosity. This important new book makes a significant contribution to the national dialogue on deep learning, educational leadership and contemporary pedagogical practice.
At a time when schools are navigating the competing demands of standardisation, high stakes accountability and an increasingly crowded curriculum, this book offers a hopeful and research informed pathway forward. Drawing on the influential Cultures of Thinking framework developed by Dr Ron Ritchhart at Project Zero (Harvard Graduate School of Education), the authors highlight the powerful impact of learning environments where curiosity, agency and thinking are intentionally cultivated.
ACEL SA is delighted to welcome editors Cameron Paterson and Simon Brooks in person for this special event. Their extensive leadership in Cultures of Thinking across Australia brings rich insight, practical wisdom and a deep commitment to strengthening learning and teaching in contemporary schools.
