ACEL Constitution Review

By Elizabeth Foster posted 2 days ago

We are incredibly respectful of our past whilst also firmly looking to the future as we continue to be Australia's member-driven community for educational leadership.  As the association that supports educators at every career stage through professional learning, partnerships and networks that shape the future of our profession, we will continue to position ourselves in leading for the future.  It matters to us that structures of governance enable opportunities for leaders to connect, contribute and drive meaningful change within their schools, systems and communities.  We will continue to position ourselves for this to occur through mentoring, coaching, conferences and collaborative dialogue.   From metropolitan centres to regional, rural and remote communities, ACEL will ensure every educator can be seen, heard and be connected as we shape the future of education together.

As leaders we know that it is our systems and structures that provide levers to enable our purpose and vision, in our case, this is our Constitution.  In positioning our association for the future, we are undertaking a review of our Constitution.

A process of rigour, we will provide updates via our members newsletter and through our Branches, seeking your advice in considering possibilities.

With Board approval, we have engaged an external provider to support the review process.

In ensuring contribution from all members, we will also conduct our AGM in an online format to improve accessibility for members and enable broader participation and engagement. This will be scheduled in November, following our National Conference.

If you have any questions regarding the review of our constitution, please make contact by return email: admin@acel.org.au
