Announcing ACEL Directors and Branch Presidents

Please join me in congratulating the following group of talented, committed and esteemed educators who have been elected as our new Branch Presidents in each state or territory.

Their formal term begins on October 1, 2023 during which time they will also serve as Directors on the Board of ACEL, for a three year period. In addition to Branch Presidents, as per the Constitution the ACEL Board has the option to appoint up to 4 Members as Independent Directors. Independent Directors have specific skills, capabilities and/or experience that the Board believes are appropriate for the Board in terms of diversity and representation, and which complement the Branch Appointed Directors. We are delighted to also announce that Murat Dizdar PSM, the Secretary – NSW Department of Education, will also be joining the ACEL National Board.

Our vision is to contribute to a vibrant learning community, founded on a shared commitment to improve the quality of learning for all. ACEL’s Board Directors actively engage in this vision, to shape leadership within education and contribute to the wider community through inspiring, supporting, recognising and advocating for excellence in educational leadership.

I’d like to take this opportunity of thanking ACEL State executives who are retiring from their roles. Our organisation is built on the generosity of our volunteers who give of their time, expertise, energy, and wisdom to ensure that education in Australia goes from strength to strength. Thank you!

And we congratulate our new and returning Directors, Branch Presidents and branch executives. Thank you for your professional generosity and stewardship, and together with the national team, for your role in our collective commitment to this inspiring organisation to which all of us belong.
